ATLANTA (Dow Jones)--Home Depot Inc. (HD, news, msgs) will begin testing a concept store in the Dallas area, beginning in mid-2000, that will carry an expanded variety of flooring categories.  Home Depot plans for the store to include how-to clinics, floor-installation guidance, a showroom, professional quantities and 38 staff members. The store will offer more than 15,000 flooring products, such as carpet, ceramic tiles, laminates and wood.
 
WASHINGTON (Dow Jones)--Home Depot Inc. (HD, news, msgs) is asking its shareholders to consent to an increase in the number of authorized common shares to 10 billion from 5 billion.  Home Depot said it wants the additional shares to allow for greater capitalization.  Although the company said it had no current plans to issue any of the additional shares, increasing the number of authorized shares will permit it to meet future business and financial needs, as well as permit stock splits and stock dividends in the future.
 
WASHINGTON (Dow Jones)--Home Depot Inc. (HD, news, msgs) is asking its shareholders to declassify the company's board for 2001.  In a statement of support, the company said it believes it is acting in its own and its stockholders' best interest to eliminate the classified board to "allow stockholders to review and express their opinions on the performance of all directors each year."

BUENOS AIRES, March 10 /PRNewswire/ -- The Home Depot (NYSE: HD, news, msgs), the world's largest home improvement retailer, today announced it has signed an agreement to acquire the property and buildings of three SAM'S Clubs in Argentina. The agreement is pending all local approvals. Financial terms of the sale were not disclosed.
 
ATLANTA, Feb. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- The Home Depot (NYSE: HD, news, msgs) today announced that the company's first environmentally-themed commercial which highlights Home Depot associates' role in building a habitat for Yang Yang and Lun Lun, two giant pandas on loan from China to Zoo Atlanta.  In addition to building the facility, Home Depot President and CEO donated $500,000 from his Arthur Blank Family Foundation and $500,000 in building materials from The Home Depot, to create the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation Giant Panda Conservation Center.
